In every class, Grace holds the intention to deeply honor her students, empowering them to celebrate their gifts, embrace their challenges, and dance on the edge between the two with a playful sense of curiosity. She believes each student holds the key to their own healing and wholeness, listening to the body and breath as guides.
Grace is deeply inspired by the rhythm and beauty of nature and the potentials of human body. In addition to yoga, Grace has devoted herself to studying Healing Arts including massage, meditation, subtle energy work and somatic psychology (body based healing for our ‘monkey’ minds). She’s a longtime student of Buddhism and is trained as an interfaith counselor, offering life coaching with a spiritual perspective.
When she’s not practicing, teaching, or studying yoga, Grace enjoys hiking, bike riding, meeting friends; new and old, and cooking yummy meals made from fresh, local, whole foods.
Grace wishes to express deep gratitude to all of her teachers, especially Noah Maze, Sianna Sherman, Katchie Ananda, Abby Tucker, John Friend, Scott Blossom, Chrissy Graham, and Scott Lewicki.
With the wisdom of over 10 years of dedicated practice in the Iyengar and Anusara traditions, Grace is experiencing a renewed sense of Joy in the service of teaching others, sharing what she’s learned both on and off the mat.
