About the teachers:
Anne began her journey with yoga and meditation in 2008. After relocating from New York City to San Francisco in 2012, she decided to share her passion for yoga with others. She is a certified E-RYT-200 and RYT-500, having completed her 200-hour teacher training at Yoga Tree in San Francisco and her 500-hour teacher training with her teachers Brenna Geehan and Jean Mazzei at Sri Yoga. Anne believes yoga has the power to transform one’s life from the inside out, providing students the tools to bring strength and ease into their lives to confidently face whatever life experiences come their way. Her mission as a teacher is to hold space for students to go deeply inward so that they can cultivate a stronger connection to self. Anne believes that through this connection students can find their own unique power and expression of joy within the world. Her classes emphasize mindfulness, alignment and a strong connection to breath in order to build strength, flexibility, and mental clarity.
Stephanie, a long-time competitive athlete, began practicing yoga as a way to increase flexibility and prevent injury. This occasional activity became a life-passion when she discovered the substantial impact yoga had on all aspect of her life, well beyond flexibility. Yoga has since become an indelible addition to her every day, and she hopes to share her passion for yoga and the positive effects it can bring to life and the community. Stephanie's goal as a teacher is to hold a space for students to find liberation; providing guidance in asana (physical poses), mediation and pranayama (breath work) to invigorate the body and quiet the mind. Her teaching incorporates intuitive hands-on assistance and intelligent sequencing, driven by her passion for helping student’s deepen their practice and find space in poses not otherwise attainable. Stephanie is and registered Yoga Alliance Teacher certified by Yoga Tree, 200hr.
“The long restorative poses were great, with the bonus of the hot stones. It was hard to grasp it was three hours, it felt like one. My body truly went some where else, maybe floated away for a little bit at a time. It was truly delicious, my body ate it up! The warm assists were well received! Overall amazing experience, I would do again in heart beat!" A.S.
