Sofia Forman

The intersection of Buddhism and Psychology guides Sofia’s interest in yoga, hospice work, and art therapeutics. She’s motivated by what sitting and moving practice can look like in our daily urban lives. Sofia has taught and practiced yoga in NYC, Berlin, San Francisco and Portland. She spent a formative year of monastic Zen practice at the San Francisco Zen Center and was lay ordained in the Maezumi Roshi Soto Zen lineage. She received her Masters in Mind-Body Psychology at Columbia University. Sofia is a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology. Her interests lay in the intersection of death, Buddhism and somatic experiencing.
