Rhea Borromeo, Massage Therapist
“For me massage is a form of meditation. Being mindful allows me to support my clients connection to their own wisdom, listening to their own body. I provide each person a safe place to let go for a moment and be. I believe that self awareness is a prerequisite to good health.Aromatherapy, acupressure, Thai stretches, and breath work enrich my massages. I also love doing prenatal work to support women during their childbearing time. Pregnancy is a very delicate process and being able to provide healing and comfort during this time is sacred and empowering”Massage is an integral part of Rhea’s life. Since a young child, Rhea received massage as way to when to relieve pain and encourage sleep. Because of that massage was always seen as part of a lifestyle rather than a job. In 2004, Rhea embarked on a spiritual journey to heal herself; she was trained in California Healing Arts in Southern California. Developing an awareness of the physical systems of the body and the energy within it had made her more in tune with her own body and its needs toward a holistic approach to good health. Her style is a combination of Deep Tissue and Swedish, acupressure and Thai massage. She’s also trained in hot stone and pre-natal massage. Being present and mindful during her sessions connects her intuitively to restoring balance. She is a believer in the spirit of humanity and our interconnectedness.
Damiana Carpizo, Massage Therapist
Damiana Carpizo’s fascination with the body as the abode of spirit and as an instrument and reflection of the mind has defined her exploration and keen interest in the healing and creative arts, meditation and yoga. She has practiced bodywork since 2005 when completing the Holistic Health/Massage Certification Program at the University of California Santa Cruz. Her yoga practice for the past 10 years and careful study of the therapeutic principles of alignment informs her work. In her sessions Damiana weaves swedish and deep tissue techniques, myofascial release, and accupressure/energy work to provide a nurturing, deeply restoring and effective session.Damiana’s passion is working with pregnant and postpartum women. This began with a desire to offer relief, comfort and healing care during this challenging and most beautiful time in a woman’s life. The experience of giving and receiving bodywork is, in her eyes, not only therapeutic but a way of celebrating and enhancing the gift of embodiment.
Bhaskar Benerji, Thai Yoga Bodywork
“Though I primarily teach and practice Thai Yoga Bodywork, I’m a lover of all forms of floor massage and have extensively studied other floor-based modalities such as Shiatsu and Breema which I integrate into my practice. I consider gravity and the floor to be two of my best friends. Thai Bodywork is not just a form of massage but a therapeutic art form – often referred to as “the Dance of Thai Massage” on account of it rhythmic & graceful movements. Part healing modality, part moving body poetry, its goal is not just to relax a person but promote mind-body-soul integration so that an individual can function at a higher level. Most of my training took place in Northern Thailand with numerous teachers over a period of six years. I chose to attend many rather than one school as I wanted to get a taste for the diversity of this therapeutic healing modality and bring that diversity to my practice. Currently, I practice privately out of two studios in Berkeley and Fairfax, Marin. I also teach classes on an on-going basis at the MckInnon Institute of Bodywork Therapy in Oakland, CA. Come check out the Tandem Thai class being offered on June 16th where two people practice on one person, one of the many fun ways in which Thai bodywork is morphing as this ancient practice discovers new wings in the 21st century. In addition to bodywork, I have a Masters in Holistic Health Education and am currently obtaining my PhD in Mind Body Medicine at Saybrook University (SF, CA) where my intent is to revive the ancient Aesclepian dream healing practices of the Greco-Roman period that once helped thousands to get in touch with their Inner Physician and heal from many so-called “incurable diseases.”

Heather is a powerful transformational coach, spiritual channel, and certified Reiki practitioner dedicated to helping others claim their personal power and live in alignment with their joy and purpose.
Drawing upon her extensive background as a Behavioral Health Professional and incorporating her own experiences of personal transformation, Heather utilizes many spiritual, psychological, and physical modalities. Her practice includes inquiry and cognitive reframing techniques, energy work, channeling, divination, archetypal discovery practices, and ritual and shamanic journeying. Having transformed her own life of deep depression, obesity, and addiction to a life of self-love, fulfillment and meaning, it is Heather’s life mission to empower others do the same.
From a young age Heather has felt a strong connection to the unseen world of spirit. As a child, this connection manifested in dreams, premonitions, and regularly sensing and experiencing the presence of unexplained entities and energies. Obesity since childhood, combined with overwhelming feelings of being inexplicably different than her peers, led to severe depression and serious suicidal ideation while she was still in elementary school.
Heather’s battle with both depression and obesity continued into adulthood until, at the age of 27, she met with a psychic medium who changed her life by helping her see her own psychic abilities and as well as the root causes of her depression. As if a light switch had been turned on, Heather’s life began to transform as she grew into higher levels of self-awareness and alignment, embraced her personal power, and shifted her attitude from one of hopelessness to one of empowerment.
Heather began to use her psychic and spiritual gifts to guide her life decisions. Through will, determination, and intuition she began a journey of personal transformation that would include losing over 200 pounds, moving across the country, overcoming addiction, and finding a fulfilling career helping others to live more authentic, healthy, meaningful and fulfilling lives. Heather believes that the adversity she experienced was meant to teach her, not only about her own power and strength, but also how to help others. Heather is deeply committed to being a force of love, compassion and illumination in the world. She considers it her most sacred mission to teach others to see and embrace their innate beauty, power and potential.
