300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

The  300 Hour Advanced Anusara Teacher Training at YogaKula is a one-of-a-kind program designed to offer you a creative and in-depth advanced curriculum based on your particular teaching focus. Broken into various tracks, you can piece together a specialized curriculum that fits your unique skills, passions and interests. 

Our program is open to those teachers who have completed their 200 Hour RYT® teacher training and who wish to deepen and expand their skills, knowledge, and capacities. Teachers may progress at their own pace and will have up to 3 years to complete their 300 hours curriculum, after which they will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance at the highest level, RYT-500.

Our in-depth teacher training modules and electives can be curated to fit your unique skills and passion. Our visiting faculty includes many world-respected teachers in the yoga industry with decades of knowledge combined. Mentors and advisors will support you for individualized study.

Curriculum includes: 

ASANA  - Apply the principles of alignment to each pose

TEACHING METHODOLOGY Learn how to teach all the different categories of asanas, how to assist and adjust students, develop observation skills, learn how to create sequences for the physical, energetic  and subtle bodies, learn how to teach a wide variety of students, including newcomers, those with injuries and pregnant students, how to teach with a theme

YOGA PHILOSOPHY  History of Yoga, study main philosophical traditions including the Sutras, and the Bhagavad Gita 

MEDITATION AND PRANAYAMA Teaching meditation and pranayama, study and practices for the subtle body 

ANATOMY, PHYSIOLOGY, BIOMECHANICS Deepening study of yoga anatomy, nervous system, endocrine system, establishing functional joint ranges, injury treatment and prevention

YOGA BUSINESS, Discover your special interest as a teacher and what of students you want to work with, define your mission, and establish your core values, refine your copy: bio, blurbs, websites, learn how to advertise and how to use efficiently social media

PERSONAL MENTORING Support for designing and creating classes and workshops, support with promotion, individual mentoring, each participant will be offered homework assignments as part of their program

WORKSHOPS Participants can choose their own track of study from the workshops offered at Yogakula, for example; workshops on each category of pose, pranayama, restorative, yoga for stress , trauma release, anatomy, and yoga therapeutics.

Saraswati Clere, E-RYT 500

San Francisco Bay Area filmmaker Saraswati Clere is the founder of Yogakula Productions and owns Yogakula Wellness Center in Berkeley, which attracts thousands of students each year. For the past 20 years Saraswati has trained in the Iyengar and Anusara Yoga method. She has been teaching yoga for 10 years and currently offers teacher training programs. Saraswati has produced a line of educational CDs and DVDs in collaboration with some of the world’s most prominent yoga teachers and scholars. She is the director of the Kula Coworking Hub and offers monthly workshops designed to empower and support entrepreneurs to be successful in business and in life.

In 2011, Saraswati produced Yogawoman, an award-winning documentary narrated by Annette Bening, that features 50 of the world’s leading experts – doctors, researchers, renowned yoga instructors – all empowered, compassionate, inspiring- all women. Since its release yoga woman has screened in 12 countries and has won five film awards.

Noah Maze, E-RYT 500

Every once in awhile you encounter a yoga instructor whose teachings are so magical, your practice is transformed forever. Noah Mazé is one such teacher. For years Noah has been recognized as among the most advanced of yoga practitioners and an accomplished teacher of yoga teachers. Today, with his ever-evolving and brilliant insights into yoga, Noah is now regarded as one of yoga’s greatest teachers no matter what style of yoga you embrace. His fierce and compassionate dedication to yoga inspires and holds space for students to journey deeper into body, heart, mind, and spirit than they ever could have imagined. Noah founded Noah Mazé Yoga in 2003 and YOGAMAZÉ in Los Angeles, California in 2012. Noah began practicing yoga at age 14, studying with Richard Freeman, Pattabhi Jois, and senior Iyengar yoga teacher Manouso Manos. Noah also studies with Tantric scholar Douglas R. Brooks in the Srividya lineage of Rajanaka Yoga. Noah teaches internationally and online and lives with his family in Los Angeles.

Suzanne Zuber, RYT 500 

Suzanne, European-American yogini and international yoga instructor, has been fortunate to study in-depth asana, anatomy, therapeutics, and the various Yogic traditions and philosophies with world-renowned Hatha and Vinyasa teachers. With Noah Mazé, she earned her 300-hour Yogamazé teaching certificate during a year-long course of study in Berlin, focusing on Iyengar-based alignment Hatha and Vinyasa yoga. She is a graduate of the 200-hour Anusara-based yoga teacher training with Siri Peterson, Chrissy and Kenny Graham, and has further studied with Abby Tucker, Jim Bernaert, and Sianna Sherman. She has taught at various studios in Stockholm, Munich, and the Bay Area, and currently runs a yoga-program for students and teachers at the German International School of Silicon Valley (Berkeley campus).

Yoga classes with Suzanne are upbeat and humorous, challenging and reflective. She likes to interweave ancient myths (with a grain of salt), tapping into timeless universal truths as we explore asanas, pranayama, and meditation on the mat. Suzanne is happiest when her students come out of her class feeling balanced and energized, strong to the core, and well-aligned in body, mind, and spirit.

Chase Bossart

Director of the Yoga Well Institute, Chase has been studying Yoga, Sanskrit, eastern philosophy and religion for nearly 30 years. In 1991, as part of a study abroad program in Chennai, India, Chase took a semester long course on Yoga Theory with Mr. TKV Desikachar that essentially set the direction for the rest of his life. He became a private student of Mr. Desikachar's and spent a total of four and a half years in Chennai (from 1991-2012) studying with him, his family and his senior teachers including serving as a teacher at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram. He served as Director of Therapy and Education at the non-profit Healing Yoga Foundation in San Francisco from 2006-2012. His depth of knowledge on yoga and meditation are shared through practical, humorous anecdotes that translate to everyday life.

Deane Juhan

Originally trained in-residence at Esalen Institute from 1974 to 1993, Deane Juhan has been a professional bodyworker for 40 years. He is a Trager practitioner and instructor, with a private practice in the Berkeley area. The author of "Job's Body: A Handbook for bodywork," and "Touched by the Goddess: The Physical, Emotional and Spiritual Dimensions of Bodywork," he has long had a passion for understanding the relations between mind, body and spirit and the creative forces at work in all self-development, healing and artistic expression. His workshops have been presented all across the US, Canada, Europe and Japan. Their content is focused on both cutting edge research into many aspects of the body-mind and his years of experience as a practitioner.


Anodea Judith, E-RYT

Anodea Judith, Ph.D. has been called “a prophet for our time.” A groundbreaking thought leader who is the founder and director of Sacred Centers, and a writer, therapist, and spiritual teacher. Her passion for the realization of human potential matches her concern for humanity’s impending crises—her fervent wish is that we “wake up in time.” She holds Masters and Doctoral degrees in Psychology and Human Health, is a 500 hour registered yoga teacher (E-RYT), with lifelong studies of psychology, mythology, sociology, history, systems theory, and mystic spirituality. She is considered one of the country’s foremost experts on the combination of chakras and therapeutic issues and on the interpretation of the Chakra System for the Western lifestyle. She teaches across the U.S., as well as in Canada, Europe, Ireland, Asia, and South and Central America.
