Saturday March 14 - 2.30pm- 4:30pm – Part 1

Sunday March 15 2.30pm - 4:30pm  - Part 2

In Part 1 of this workshop you will increase your knowledge of the origins of contemporary Surya Namaskar, deepen your understanding of the philosophical and mythic meanings of this practice, and reinforce what evidence-based studies say are the benefits of regular Surya Namaskar practice.

In Part 2, you will put your knowledge into action and explore the poses and linked sequences that comprise Surya Namaskar A + B, unpack alignment best practices, including injury prevention and therapeutic applications and how to regress and progress your practice skillfully. Overall, you will gain many insights and tools to increase your skill, strength and meaningfulness of your Surya Namaskar practice.

Props include: mat, strap, 2 blocks, and notebook.

PDF handouts will be provided, along with a recording after the event.
